The filing dates for Maplewood election candidates for April 2011 are as follows:

Statement of Candidacy for all wards can be picked up from the City Clerk at City Hall before the filing date so that potential candidates can get the required signatures needed to be placed on the ballot. Nominations of candidates for all elective officers are by petition.

Petitions for ward councilperson shall be signed by not less than 50 qualified voters who are entitled to vote for the candidate so nominated. Filing opens 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Maplewood City Hall, 7601 Manchester Road, Maplewood, Missouri 63143. Filing closes 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23. After opening day an individual may file 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday up to the filing deadline.
