83rd Congressional District Rep Candidates Blog on Patch–Vote Today!
The newly drawn 83rd district comprises Maplewood and most of Brentwood, including Rock Hill and part of Webster Groves. It's also in St. Louis city.
Jim Trout and Gina Mitten are contesting for the 83rd Missouri House seat in the Aug. 7 primary election.

Maplewood and Brentwood have a chance on primary day, Tuesday, to elect a representative for a newly drawn state congressional district–the 83rd.
Gina Mitten is facing James Trout. Both are running as democrats.
Mitten lives in Richmond Heights. She is an attorney and has been on the Richmond Heights city council for eight years.
Trout lives in Maplewood. He is a building contractor who specializes in green construction. He also has worked as a citizen, in Jefferson City, to pass legislation.
