Several hundred bikers gathered at the Schlafly Bottleworks, then dispersed on roundtrip rides to area groceries to shop and bring food back to the Bottleworks.

The ride, on Sunday morning, was the 7th annual Cranksgiving.

Shop 'n' Save and Aldi in Maplewood, and Schnucks, in Richmond Heights were on the "short" 6-mile ride. Riders also took 10 and 24-mile routes.

The food donations go to Food Outreach, an organization that provides nutritional support to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer.

I was expecting an article about motorcycle riders from the title "Bikers Ride Maplewood..." Cyclists is the appropriate term for people on bicycles.
