Brentwood, MRH Football Players Named All-State

Five players were recognized for their contributions during the football season.

The big news in local high school sports came early Friday afternoon when the Associated Press All-State Football Teams were announced, after voting had concluded among a panel of statewide sportswriters and sportscasters.

Locally, five players, four from and one from , were named to all-state football list.

In Class 2, MRH juniors Wes Williams (linebacker) and Karon Thomas (defensive back) were selected to the First-Team squad, while teammates junior Kahlid Hagens (quarterback) and senior Kashon Hagens (wide receiver) and Brentwood senior Tyler Jones (linebacker) were named to the Second-Team unit.
