Brentwood Red Light Video Camera Catches Minivan Flying Through Intersection, Striking Worker
A camera meant to catch red light runners recorded graphic video of a worker flying through the air after being hit.
This red-light camera faces north toward the Manchester Road, Brentwood Boulevard intersection.

Early Friday morning, a Missouri American Water employee was struck by a minivan in Brentwood, as a red light video camera recorded the scene.
Two employees were working on a broken water main in the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard and Manchester Road. One was struck and one avoided being hit.
A video released by Fox 2 News shows the van not slowing as it went into the intersection and struck the worker.
Fox 2 reports that Brentwood police said the driver stopped at the scene, and will not be charged.

Wait a minute—this person ran a red light and hit someone and "will not be charged"? What exactly would one have to do to BE charged?

Laura, Don't know why your comment posted twice, but I've deleted the second posting. Also I think the camera recorded the scene, but not necessarily because the van was going through a red light.

Watch the video, he was in the intersection before the light turned red. There is no violation.

If the light turned red while the minivan was in the intersection, it must have entered toward the end of the yellow. Plus, the driver clearly wasn't paying attention or he/she would have seen two guys dressed in bright yellow directly in front of the van. I'm still surprised there aren't charges of some kind brought against the driver.
