Hale is the new Director of Culinary Operations for BARcelona, Bocci Bar and Coastal Bistro.
Chef Brian Hale, formerly with Maplewood's Monarch restaurant, is the new Director of Culinary Operations for BARcelona, Bocci Bar, and Coastal Bistro, in Clayton.
Hale was Monarch's Executive Chef prior to Josh Galliano, the current chef of the restaurant, which is closed on Saturday. For the past three years he's been Exec Chef at the Chase Park Plaza.
That's according to Frank Schmitz, a principal in all three operations, as reported in STLmag.com.
