Citizens National Bank in Maplewood is working to provide personalized service at a time when many people are frustrated with bigger banks, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported on Friday.

David Bentele, president and chief executive of Citizens, was interviewed in the story, which contrasts local and national banks.

Quoting from the Post-Dispatch:

"We've seen some increase in people opening accounts because they've had enough of a big bank," Bentele said. 

Citizens National Bank is based in Maplewood and has six area branches.
