As the end of December draws near, Maplewood and Brentwood residents can begin focusing on planning for New Years Eve celebrations. When it comes to ringing in the New Year, no one does it quite like local businesses in Maplewood and Brentwood. Whether you're into a raucous party or a low-key celebration, these local spots have got you covered.
Everyone's favorite brewery in Maplewood is hosting a New Year's Eve party to remember. Ring in 2011 with local music, delicious beer and a midnight toast featuring Schlafly's own Black Velvet. This beverage is a rich mix of Oatmeal Stout and sparkling wine. Join the fun in the Crown Room at Schlafly Bottleworks; with only a $15 cover, you can enjoy the festivities without breaking the bank. Doors open at 8 p.m. with music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Monarch Restaurant and Wine Bar
Monarch is the ideal place for a foodie to celebrate New Year's Eve. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monarch is offering a prix fixe tasting menu for $55 per person. Choose from delicious offerings such as pear and truffle risotto, pan-roasted scallops or dark chocolate souffle. With live music from Dawn Weber and Electro Funk Assembly, this is an event that shouldn't be missed.
Nosh will be celebrating New Year's in a delicious way this year. For $65 per person, start with a champagne and sparkling wine bar along with hand dipped strawberries. Finish with a five course dinner that includes selections such as bacon wrapped shrimp, French onion soup and almond-encrusted halibut, among other dishes. Finish with one of Nosh's house made desserts for a sweet ending to 2010.

This massive sports bar will be celebrating in style with the same delicious food and lively atmosphere you've come to expect at OB Clark's.
