A forum on the rise in heroin use in the St. Louis area happened Monday night at Clayton High School, FOX2-TV reported.
Quoting from the FOX2 report, one speaker "told the audience that one way to stop a heroin addiction before it ever starts is to lock up the medicine cabinet at home. He says many heroin users start their addiction by taking prescription pain killers."
The Ladue and Brentwood school districts also sponsored the event.
Learn more about the event and read suggestions for combating the epidemic in the complete FOX2 report.
