Here’s information about the projects:
Sherwood Forest helps children who have grown up in poverty. A donation from Grow St. Louis helps these children reach their full potential! Experiential learning, uniquely possible at Sherwood Forest, is a powerful way for these children to achieve positive educational and youth development outcomes.
There is never any charge for services, programs or seminars at Woman’s Place. Grants, donations, and fundraising events provide the majority of the funding. The award money would be used to continue the expanded sexual assault services, to implement enhanced crisis assessment and crisis counseling, and to develop and co-facilitate a new support group designed specifically for sexual assault survivors.
Girls on the Run, an after-school running program in several local schools, distributes scholarships for girls who cannot afford to join. If won, the money would go toward the $360,000 in scholarships awarded through the nonprofit.
