Man in Wheelchair Pointed Knife at Woman, Maplewood Police Say
The man told police he intended to stab anyone who came past his apartment door .
Maplewood Police took a man into custody Monday after he threatened a woman with a knife in an apartment building.
Police said in a report that Andre Tabor, 41, of the 2200 block of Yale Avenue in Maplewood, confronted a woman in the apartment building hallway at about 2 p.m. Monday. He stood up from his wheelchair and pointed a knife in her face.
Police wrote: “While talking to the police, (Tabor) said he intended on stabbing anyone who came by his door and that he should have slashed the victim’s throat.”
Tabor was charged Tuesday with unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $10,000.
