Man Stole Camera From Turner Center for the Arts, Police Say
Maplewood Police said the man was in the center asking about a job, and the camera was stolen from a table near the front door.
Frederick Fulton, 24, of the 3700 block of Greenwood Avenue in Maplewood, was charged Nov. 26 with felony stealing.
Maplewood Police said Fulton stole a Nikon camera valued at $1,000 and a tripod valued at $50 from the center between 2:15 and 3 p.m. Sept. 18 at 3109 Sutton Blvd.
A Turner Center employee told police that Fulton was in the building asking about possible employment. The camera was stolen from a table near the front door, police said.
Less than two hours later, Fulton tried to pawn the camera. Police said he told them he bought the camera from a friend for $20.
Bail was set at $10,000 for Fulton.
