Maplewood Police: Apple iPhone 'Held for Ransom'
A woman said her iPhone disappeared. When she called the number an unfamiliar voice gave her some bad news.
An Apple iPhone was taken from a woman in the 7300 block of Manchester Road on Friday, the Maplewood Police Department reported.
The woman said she called the number when she noticed it was gone. A man answered, and demanded money to return the phone.
Police have been unable to find the suspect or the phone.

Don't have one, but don't or shouldn't these phone have some kind of GPS -tracking AP? They are expensive and so easy to lose.

You can locate a phone, but it must be turned on. A smart thief will immediately turn the phone off and then only turn it back on in a faraday cage.
