Maplewood to Host Street Festival This Weekend
The Taste of Maplewood will feature good food, live music and local businesses.
Sutton Boulevard will host a fair with free admission to celebrate everything Maplewood between noon and 9 p.m. on Saturday.
The Taste of Maplewood Street Festival aims to draw in shoppers and foodies, notes a news release from the Maplewood Chamber of Commerce, which runs the festival. Two stages will feature local musical talent—Kim Massie, The Soulard Blues Band and The House of Bishops, to name a few—while Maplewood businesses set up shop along Sutton.
Vendors include restuarants Schlafly Bottleworks, The Post Sports Bar and Grill, Boogaloo and The Wood, and retail stores Tigerlily, Airedale Antics, Maven and Gisele's.
“The spirit and charm of Maplewood is captured through this event. There is something for everyone,” stated festival chairman Mitch Orlando in the news release.
Maplewood-Brentwood Patch will also have a booth at the festival, where advertising manager Rebecca Campbell and I (your favorite local editor Ryan Martin) will hand out goodies and meet with community members. Be sure to stop by and say hi.
The event is sponsored by Citizens National Bank, the City of Maplewood and the City of Maplewood Special Business District.
