Maplewood Richmond Heights football came back from its 7-0 loss to Park Hill Central to defeat Perryville 49-10 last Friday.
No St. Louis media was there to cover the game, but the hometown paper did.
Perryvillenews.com set it up, quoting the Pirates' coach.
"The Pirates knew they were in for a hard-hitting and physical game against Maplewood.
“They have a lot of nice athletes and a lot of speed,” said Pirate Head Coach Mike Wojtczuk. “It didn’t look like it on the scoreboard, but I really can’t fault my kids’ effort. They fought hard and we did some good things tonight.”

And it is a shame that the Maplewood/Brentwood schools don't get the sports feeds that the BIG schools get.
