MRH Teachers Learn Sustainability in Vermont
The teachers attended a week-long course on sustainability education and also visited Middlebury College.
Four teachers from Maplewood Richmond Heights Middle School traveled to Vermont to attend a week-long course on sustainability education recently.
Lauren Fleischer (MS Instructional Specialist), Whitney Strubhar (MS 8th Grade Communication Arts Teacher), Bill Henske (MS 7th Grade Science Teacher) and Bob Dillon (MS Principal) attended a week-long course on Sustainability Education held annually at Shelburne Farms, in Shelburne, VT.
They also visited Middlebury College while they were there. A blog from Middlebury states that MRH's four corner stones: Scholarship, Leadership, Stewardship and Citizenship make it a leader in sustainability education.
"There are so many sustainability initiatives that it is hard to keep up with them all," the bolgger from Middlebury College said about Middlebury.
