The pulled-pork sandwich is a big hit.
“The pulled pork sandwich was delicious—came on a whole wheat bun and was nice and juicy,” wrote Ben O., a University City-resident. “The sauce had a really good, muted flavor to it that didn’t try to really jump out at you, and the pork came with a bit of slaw on the top to add a little interest.”
Ben gave the restaurant five stars, an honor he’s only given to 16 of the 80 restaurants he’s reviewed since April.
“I think this place is going to be one of my regular haunts,” Ben wrote.
Crystal G. would like to agree that the pulled pork is tasty, but her friend devoured it so quickly that she never got to try, she wrote on Yelp.
Crystal had the “amazing” grilled cheese sandwich, made with apple and honey, after a suggestion from the bartender, “who described himself as a grilled cheese connoisseur, thank you,” she wrote.
The menu is small but creative, reviewers said, with five appetizers, 11 entrees and three desserts, such as homemade mint ice cream.
Other menu items include hummus (a bit funky since it’s made with peanut butter,) frog legs, truffle fries, a B.A.T. (bacon, arugula, tomato) sandwich, fish and chips, meatloaf with basil cornbread, steak frites and mac and cheese.
The menu includes options for vegetarians and celiacs.
Entrees cost from $8 to $15.
