Police: Macy's Employee Gave "Markdowns" to Friends, Arrested
Also at Macy's, two juveniles suspected of working together to steal clothing were arrested, and more, reported by Richmond Heights Police.
The Richmond Heights Police Department reported the following incidents on its website.
Tuesday, Sept. 18
- Mall security officers recognized a subject that was previously banned after being arrested for shoplifting. The officers detained the subject until Richmond Heights police officers arrived and arrested the subject for suspected trespassing.
- A Macy’s employee was arrested for conducting a series of “markdowns” on clothing items $1440.99. The customers receiving the markdowns were friends of the employee.
Monday, Sept. 17
- A woman reported that she and her boyfriend got into an argument while at the mall. She stated her boyfriend grabbed her by her hair and pushed her. The woman made contact with mall security and police and he was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.
Saturday, Sept. 15
- Two female juvenile suspects worked together to steal clothing valued at $196.15. They were apprehended by Macy’s security and later arrested. Both juveniles were released to their parents. A report was forwarded to the St. Louis County Family Court.
