Southwest Diner Reviewed: Pluses and Minuses
The new diner on Southwest Avenue, just blocks from Maplewood, often has lines out the door.
Co-owners Jonathan Jones and Anna Sidel opened The Southest Diner, at 6803 Southwest Avenue restaurant in June.
I drove by it twice on Saturday, and both times a line extended outside the door. I've eaten there several times and enjoyed my meals.
A reviewer from the Riverfront Times liked the decor, the coffee and the cleanliness, but wasn't thrilled with some of the dishes.
He tried Jonathan's Famous Fiery Scramble, Biscuits and Chorizo Gravy and Red-Chile Mexican Enchiladas, among others.
