Two Charged with Burglary in Maplewood

The pair stole jewelry and cash and caused $700 in damages, police said.

 

Two people were charged April 19 with burglarizing a Maplewood home.

Veronica Smith, 20, of Shawnee Mission, KS, and Cameron Bennett, 23, of Kansas City, KS, were charged with burglary, stealing and property damage.

According to a Maplewood Police Department report, the two broke through a door to a home in the 3400 block of Oxford Boulevard on Feb. 2 and stole jewelry and cash.

They caused $700 in damage to the front door, police said in the report.

Bond was set at $15,000 each for Smith and Bennett.

 

Smith and Bennett were also charged in connection with home burglaries in Jan. and Feb. in Brentwood in the 2400 block of Bremerton Road the 2100 block of Hatton Avenue, according to a news release from the Brentwood Police Department.
