Update: Murder Suspects Charged With Brentwood Robbery, Kidnapping
Police said the men forced a woman in Brentwood at gunpoint to drive to a bank and withdraw cash.
Two men charged with murdering former St. Louis University volleyball player Megan Boken also were charged with robbing and kidnapping a woman Aug. 12 in Brentwood.
Brentwood Police said Keith Esters, 18, of Bel Ridge, and Johnathan Perkins, 18, got into a woman’s car at 1657 South Brentwood Blvd., at gunpoint to drive to UMB Bank in the Promenade and withdraw cash. They stole the cash, the woman’s wallet and iPhone, police said.
According to the Brentwood Police Department website, Brentwood detectives Jim McIntyre and Nick Nilson worked with St Louis City detectives to "piece together evidence and conduct a complete investigation."
Esters and Perkins were charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery, felonious restraint and two counts of armed criminal action. Previously, the two were charged with murdering Boken during an Aug. 18 robbery.
Perkins is from the 1400 block of Wibracht in unincorporated St. Louis County between Olivette and Overland.
