Between Paramount Jewelers and Salon Lofts, at 7352 Manchester Road, is a good-sized retail spot just waiting for the right business.

It's a busy stretch, with street parking in the front and the Marietta lot in the back.

It's managed by Red Brick, which states the space is 5,000 square feet. Red Brick also says it's priced to move!

What are your ideas? Let's get a business here!

The Maplewood strip has a lot of restaurants, but still no Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, or BBQ...

An indie bookstore or kitchenware shop would be great

My wife would like a Ben Franklin store since the Webster Groves one is closing. She could buy sewing and crafts material she could find elsewhere as much to her liking.

Yeah a bookstore would be super cool, but good luck with that business model. A bona fide pizza place would be killer. Maplewood is also missing some core service-oriented businesses, such as dry cleaning and a better grocery store (e.g., organic like Local Harvest). Then again, maybe the city council would prefer something more corporate like another QT, or a Walgreen's, or a Taco Bell.

Restaurants I would love to see in Maplewood: Thai, Indian, Sushi, or Tapas! Or maybe a cute wine bar. Pizza would be great too, though the drive to Dewey's in Webster is fine.

I already hate that monstrosity of a CVS on the corner, please, no more chains!
