In Brentwood, here are the nominees, listed in alphabetical order by last name:
Keith Herring, Brentwood Eagles football coach
In the words of the person who nominated Keith Herring:
After coming to Brentwood under a cloud of dust, Coach Herring has taken a small group of under-sized pitbull atheletes as far as they can go. He continues to inspire future generations to play Eagle football, and mostly he includes the WHOLE Eagle family. Coach Herring knows how to be a winner on the field and in the community.
Maureen Saunders, Ward 1 Alderwoman
Maureen Saunders was nominated by two people, in their words:
1) As a newly elected Brentwood Alderwoman, Mrs. Saunders has shown that she is not afraid to challenge the status quo. Mrs. Saunders is a hard worker, asks tough questions and she won't be pushed around. Brentwood needs some dramatic changes at city hall and hopefully Mrs. Saunders is only the beginning.
2) Initiating much needed oversight of taxpayer money
