Work Begins on Marietta Ave. in Maplewood; It's One-Way Now for 4-5 Weeks
One side of Marietta will remain open during the work.
Work began on Monday tearing up and replacing Marietta Avenue with new concrete in Maplewood.
Crews will first replace the north side of the street. When that's finished they'll do the south side.
While the north side is worked on Marietta will be one-way from west to east (Sutton Boulevard to Marshall Avenue).
It will be one-way east to west when they do the south side (Marshall to Sutton).
Residents were told in a meeting with Maplewood Public Works Director Anthony Traxler on Monday that the entire job will take four to five weeks.
There will always be access to the Marietta parking lot.
