More About Ryan Hummert Memorial Park
Ryan Hummert Memorial Park is a multi-use park that's perfect for the whole family. The large playground allows several children to climb across the monkey bars or swoop down the slides, while nearby benches accommodate parents who want to keep an eye on their young ones.
Park-goers can enjoy the shade of large trees over a number of picnic tables, or elect to use the covered pavilion with an outdoor grill. Restroom facilities are located close by.
A station with dog bags stands next to the sidewalk, helping dog-walkers who want to play fetch with Fido on any of the three wide-open green spaces in the park. This area is open for a game of Frisbee or catch, with bleachers stationed nearby for bystanders.
The park was formerly known as Junior High Park, but was renamed in 2008 in memory of the fallen Maplewood firefighter Ryan Hummert.
