ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University/KMOX Book Club welcomes Alan S. Blinder, author of “After the Music Stopped: The Financial Crisis, the Response, and the Work Ahead,” at its next book club event. The event will take place Friday, Feb. 8, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on the third floor of the Park Pacific building, 1220 Olive St.

Alan S. Blinder is a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton University, the vice chairman of the Promontory Interfinancial Network and a regular columnist for the Wall Street Journal. He previously served as the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors and a member of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers. In his latest book, Blinder explores what caused the economic crisis, what the government did to counteract it, and what we can do from here to continue improving the economic situation.
Fontbonne University is a Catholic coeducational institution of higher education offering liberal arts and professional programs, as well as evening and online formats for busy adults. Fontbonne was founded in 1923 and is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
