Warm Up to One of Our Lonely Hearts Club Members!

Come meet one of our longer-staying residents today!

January and February are the slowest adoption months at the Animal Protective Association. We want to reverse that trend while raising awareness of some of our great, longer-staying residents, like Jazzy, the darling dog pictured.

Lonely Hearts Club members are animals who have been with the APA for 6 months or more, or who are at least 5 years old. The canine members have half-price adoption fees - $100 instead of $200- and our cats are always "Pick Your Price."

Today's featured member of the Lonely Hearts Club is Jazzy, a spayed 6-year-old Boxer mix. Jazzy is a fantastic dog who was raised from a puppy by the same family. She came to us when her owners realized they travelled too much to take care of her. Jazzy is a real trooper who was hit by a car when she was 11 months old, but you would never be able to tell! Jazzy is a happy, sweet, active dog who is old enough to have lost her puppy energy, but lively enough to love going on walks, playing with ropes and balls, and hanging out with her human friends. Believe it or not, Jazzy's favorite treat is broccoli! Whoever takes Jazzy home is one lucky dog, er...person!
