Fontbonne to Host Community-Wide Electronic Recycling Event
What do you do with the old computers, speakers, phone chargers and cords collecting dust in your basement? Take them to Fontbonne University. As part of its 2013 Dedicated Semester focused on sustainability, Fontbonne will host a community-wide electronic recycling event on its Clayton campus this fall.
The event will be held Friday, Nov. 8., 2 – 4 p.m., in the southeast parking lot of Fontbonne, 6800 Wydown Boulevard, Clayton, MO. Sponsored by Midwest Recycling Center, this recycling effort accepts anything that plugs into a wall or takes batteries, even if broken. This event is free and open to the local community.
The annual Fontbonne University Dedicated Semester is a collaborative academic experience that encourages the entire university to explore a single theme each fall semester and includes courses, panels, events, films and speakers, many which are free and open to the public.
Fontbonne University is a Catholic coeducational institution of higher education offering liberal arts and professional programs, as well as accelerated formats for busy adults. Fontbonne was founded in 1923 and is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
