Run —Don’t Walk – to Sign Up for the “I Love Forest Park 5K” on September 7

You might already know Saturday, Sept. 7, is a big day for Forest Park. The park is hosting LouFest, an annual music festival bringing together some of the greatest talent in St. Louis. What you might not know is that the third-annual “I Love Forest Park 5K Run” is also in the Park that morning.

This is the only run held in Forest Park where all proceeds go directly to Forest Park Forever, the organization that helps keep the park clean and beautiful, and up to snuff for hosting events like LouFest, Pooches in the Park, and the Balloon Glow.

For an entry fee of just $25 for the full 5K, or $10 for the kids’ half-mile Fun Run, this is an easy way to help Forest Park Forever beautify and maintain one of America’s great urban parks, and one of our city’s most priceless treasures.

This year, the run will kick off at the Visitors’ Center and take participants past the Jewel Box, Planetarium, Jefferson Lake and other local landmarks. All participants will receive a t-shirt and the top three finishers in each race will receive an award.

If you are interested in running a USATF-certified course through beautiful Forest Park to help support the maintenance of our city’s crown jewel, please visit http://www.forestparkforever.org/support/iloveforestpark5k/ to register!
