Brentwood Named Retirement Destination by Forbes
Brentwood was among 25 cities named on the list.
On Monday, Brentwood was listed on the Forbes website as a top 25 destination for retirees who want to live close to big cities.
Forbes looked at cost of living, house prices, availability of hospitals and education, and tax prices, among other criteria. Brentwood was named to the list because of its proximity to St. Louis city and its:
"rail link, low crime, a low cost of living, and a home price average in the mid 200,000’s. Downsides are temperature extremes and below average air quality."

Other Midwest cities on the list include Overland Park, KS, Naperville, IL, and Lauderdale, MN.
