It's Brentwood Optimist BBQ Time

Come by for a barbeque dinner and a joke.

The Brentwood Optimists have been selling their barbeque under the tree in front of Gene-Del Printing since the 1970's.

They're back now for two days.

They sold 21 dinners by 10:30 Thursday morning. Sheri Nappier said they try to be ready by 10:00 because people drive by and get the urge.

She said people come to help from Great Circle, Edgewood Childrens' Center and St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

The sale goes to benefit two Brentwood High School scholarships, the Childrens' Home Society, the DARE program, youth baseball, MS, and many others.
