Michael Mette Plays at Immaculate Conception, Children Present Christmas Pageant

Mette spoke about the tragedy in Connecticut. He said he had to, even if it's difficult.

About a hundred folks came to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Sunday to hear musician Michael Mette in concert and children in the congregation present a Christmas Pageant.

Mette sang selections from his new album, "Bring Forth the Light." He plays a Martin guitar he said found on eBay for $300 that he he's "been to heaven and back with."

He said he enjoys concerts with children, especially this time of year.

Mette said in light of the tragedy in Connecticut, "It was a concert about hope, and looking forward to the future, especially in slight of the tragedy. I think that's in for forefront. To say Jesus Christ is still here and we can rejoice."

Church secretary Anne Arias said she loves the activity, and it's especially exciting seeing all the children filling the alter.
