Food on Film Series: ONE MAN, ONE COW, ONE PLANET

The 2012 Food on Film series runs through October and features films that will not onlywhet your appetite for local, sustainable food, but will bring out the activist in you as well. Allproceeds benefit Slow Food St. Louis’ Small Farm Micro Biodiversity Grant, which over thepast 3 years has given more than $20,000 to local farmers. “One Man, One Cow, One Planet”is an award winning film from Thomas Burstyn that exposes globalization and the mantra ofinfinite growth in a finite world for what it really is: an environmental and human disaster.But across India marginal farmers are fighting back. By reviving biodynamics, they are savingtheir poisoned lands and exposing the bio-colonialism of multinational corporations. Thisdocumentary tells their story through the teaching of an elderly New Zealander many are callingthe new Gandhi. Suggested $5 donation.
