Abbie Rudolph was an elementary teacher before a friend asked her to take pictures at her wedding five years ago. That got her started, and now Rudolph has been a full-time photographer for four years.
She's now Abbie Takes Pictures. She moved into her space in Maplewood in May. She's at 7370 Manchester Road, Suite 205.
Rudolph said she travels to cover weddings, and shoots children and families too. Next year she plans to start marketing a stationary line of invitations, thank you notes and place cards.

Jane Callahan has been baking pies from scratch, with only fresh ingredients, commercially in St. Louis for several years, but this is her first location where she bakes and sells her pies.
She said she chose Maplewood intentionally, and said she found the space with the help of Maplewood Councilman Barry Greenberg.
Her bakery/retail space is at 2719 Sutton Boulevard.
