Brentwood Business Owner Dances for Rush Hour Crowd

Her shop is on Manchester Road, and will be dancing on the sidewalk every night until Christmas Eve.

A Brentwood small business owner had a novel idea to attract Christmas business.

Barbara McGhee, owner of McGhee's Miniatures, said she saw a woman with a Santa hat advertising buying gold on the side of Manchester Road in Rock Hill.

She thought she could do the same for her doll house business, and do her one better.

"I'll wear a Santa outfit and dance shoes," she said, "and I'll be a lot cuter than she is." She made the Santa coat herself.

McGhee was dancing boom box Christmas music in front of her shop on Manchester Road last night during rush hour, and said she'll be there every night until Chritmas Eve.

"If there's any bah-humbugs out there I'll cheer them up," she said. "If they're lucky they'll get a red light and be here even longer."
