Pam Thornton has to wait a bit longer to move her State Farm Insurance agency to the corner of Brentwood Boulevard and White Avenue. It's currently on Litzinger Road in Brentwood.
Pam Thornton and her husband, Chris, had the underground tanks removed from the former gas station, and in December 2012 demolished the building.
Now the Thorntons are waiting on the Missouri Tank Fund to approve the clean up, and they can hopefully be issued a 'no further action letter' from the Department of Natural Resources.
"It's been a frustratingly slow process," Pam Thornton said. "In the meantime we decided the orange fence was ugly so we decided to seed it until building can begin."
