Custom Builders Move into Mezzanine Space

A design/build firm owned by a Washington University graduate is moving his company in.

The commercial space on Sutton Boulevard previously occupied by the clothing shop didn't stay empty for long.

The architecture/construction firm, Missouri Custom Builders LLC, is moving in.

Malik Senussi, a Washington University St. Louis architecture graduate is the owner. He started the company in 2005.

He said he built houses until 2008, then when the economy worsened he diversified.

Senussi said he's moved into commercial work, including restaurants and "green" construction. He's made houses with grass roofs and is currently doing a project constructing housing out of shipping crates in IL.

He said he also has jobs going in Brentwood and Maryland Heights.

Senussi said he plans to be fully moved in in two weeks.
