A kitchen fire closed Hunan Wok, on South Brentwood Boulevard, on May 17.
The owner had hoped to reopen quickly, but in July a for sale sign went up. At that time the owner said she might reopen if it didn't sell.
Now, a recording on the restaurant's phone states that remodeling work is taking place, and the reopening date is Nov. 1.
"Thanks for calling. Have a nice day," the recording finishes.
