Hundreds Come to Maplewood Shop for Gooey Butter Donuts
Strange Donuts, not yet open, held an event at its future location on Sutton Avenue.
The owners of the now well-known, but still not open, Strange Donuts, are keeping anticipation high for the opening of the Maplewood shop.
Labor Day morning they handed out approximately 90 dozen and 40 half-dozen boxes of Gooey Butter Donuts—all pre-sold online.
They released homing pigeons as they ripped the paper off the windows, before opening the door.
Strange Donuts is set to open in September.
