Mai Lee Chef Shares Vietnamese Cooking Tips

Fans of Mai Lee had the opportunity to take a Vietnamese cooking class at Kitchen Conservatory, 8021 Clayton Rd., with chef Qui Tran on Feb. 18. Kitchen Conservatory shared photos of the class on their Facebook page

“Everyone joined Qui for a hands-on class starting with the foundation of Vietnamese cooking,” according to the Facebook page, trying their luck with fish sauce, peanut sauce with hoisin, spring rolls, green papaya salad and lemon grass charred beef.

Tran recently sat down with Feast Magazine to discuss his path to becoming a chef, and why he thinks the restaurant is a regular spot for other St. Louis-area chefs.
