Maplewood Council Agenda: For Now, No QuikTrip Items

Proposition Q passed by better than a 2:1 margin, but some thought the ordinance could have been better.

The agenda for Tuesday's Maplewood City Council meeting contains six resolutions and one ordinance.

Nothing related to QuikTrip is on the agenda.

Proposition Q, passed on April 2, OK'd the original ordinance permitting QuikTrip to move to the northwest corner of Manchester Road and S. Big Bend Boulevard. An amended ordinance that contained further safety features for pedestrians was deleted from the agenda at the March 26 council meeting.

Following the passage of Proposition Q, Ward 3 Councilman Shawn Faulkingham said he would "continue to try and talk to the council and see if we can get as many of those incorporated into the QT as possible.”

Reached on Monday, he said, "Maybe. Don't know yet," when asked about that happening for Tuesday's meeting.
