Maplewood is Home to One of America's Best Brewery Tours
That's according to The Daily Meal website, which ranked Schlafly Bottleworks as one of the top 10 American destinations for brewery tours.
Most of us in Maplewood already know that Schlafly Bottleworks is a great destination for all St. Louisans, but the craft brewery has been gaining recognition from an even wider audience for the past few years.
The most recent acknowledgment comes from The Daily Meal via FoxNews.com. Bottleworks was ranked fourth on the website's list of America's 10 Best Brewery Visits, right next to Hopworks Urban Brewery and BikeBar in Portland, OR and Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, MD.
"When Belgian conglomerate InBev acquired St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch in 2008, beer enthusiasts feared for the fate of American brewing," the website notes. "Schlafly Bottleworks, the Gateway City’s proudly independent craft brewery and tap room, presents a bold counterargument."
