Maplewood's Screaming Mimi Closes Doors Today

The owners of flower and gift shop on Sutton Boulevard released the announcement Wednesday afternoon.

, in Maplewood, held its grand opening on Feb. 4, and today announced its door are closing, effective immediately.

Owners Kate Valleroy and Allyson Bailey Wilmowski announced that family obligations and medical issues are reasons for closing the flower and gift shop.

Citing impending family obligations and medical issues Screaming Mimi Flowers and Gifts will be closing its doors effective immediately. June 27th will be the final day of regular business hours (10am-5pm).

Beginning June 28th, the shop will have very limited hours, by appointment only.

Owners Kate Valleroy and Allyson Bailey Wilmowski wish to thank the citizens and businesses of Maplewood as well as the local arts community for their support and warmth. Both say that Screaming Mimi has been a tremendous source of growth and learning and that they are extremely proud of Screaming Mimi, what it stands for, and all of the work and love surrounding it.

Screaming Mimi opened in February at 2718 Sutton in Maplewood, Missouri and has been a representative to more than 50 local artists and crafters in the St. Louis community as well as artists from Chicago, Tennessee and beyond.
