New Maplewood Antiques Shop to Open in May

The two business partners said it's been great working with the city.

An empty storefront in Maplewood is about to be empty no longer.

Business partners James Afflixio and Louise Harre (rhymes with safari), both experienced antiques dealers, are opening a shop in the previous Print Station location, at 7415 Manchester Road.

The build-out is going on now and they plan to start moving in their furniture, rugs, art and other antiques in in early May.

"One of the things that attracted us, is everybody has been so nice," he said.

Harre said she's been in the business in the Central West End for 20 years, and it’s time for her to leave there.

"I’m impressed with Maplewood. It’s a real positive attitude," she said.
