New Pizza Shop to Become Part of Family Video in Maplewood

It's to be New York style pizza, with the dough and sauce made in-house.

By the time summer is over Maplewood should have another pizza option.

Family Video has partnered with Marco's Pizza, and plans to devote a third of their current space to the pizza shop. A wall will be built to divide the two operations.

Family Video assistant manager Jen Rosa said Maplewood has OK'd the building permits, and now they're waiting for county approval.

"Our plan was to begin construction end of April, beginning of May," Rosa said. "We're looking at about six weeks once we start construction. Should be finished by end of summer at the latest."

It's New York style pizza, she said.

"Everything will happen in-store. All the dough-making and the sauces," Rosa said.

She said this will be the first Marco's Pizza in St. Louis. They're interviewing for for the new shop Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Rosa said she hasn't tried it, but heard it's "pretty great."

"Pizza and a movie at the same time? It doesn't get better than that," she said. "It's the dream."
