Cassy Vires, chef of Maplewood restaurant , celebrated the one year mark of her restaurant by reflecting on some accomplishments and looking to the future.
She lists for her first year:
- She has her own culinary column, for which she was nominated for a James Beard Award
- She was nominated for Food & Wine Magazine’s People’s Choice Best New Chef – Midwest along with Josh Galliano
- St. Louis Magazine named Home Wine Kitchen the Best New Restaurant and best brunch, from Alive Magazine
She lists her goals, and the most exciting among them is the possibility of opening a second restaurant in the upcoming year. She said she promises to give details when she can.
