Printer, Designer Collaborate on New Maplewood Business

The new business is in the 7200 block of Manchester Road.

Tiny Little Monster, a new Maplewood business, offers unique t-shirts created by Jenny Rearick, printmaker and Sloan Coleman, graphic designer.

The shop has moved from a home-based studio to a retail space in the blossoming Maplewood business district.

The storefront offers Tiny's original designs and also provides a space to work one-on-one with a designer to create a custom order. A 30-minute free design time is included in every custom shirt order.

“We started the t-shirt business in 2011 as a way to get back into the habit of making art,” Coleman said.

They both done corporate work, and like doing more fun work, so they thought a t-shirt business would be a good outlet, she said.

They started selling their designs at craft shows and sold custom orders online. They still do about 12 craft shows a year, and still sell online as well.

On Wednesday September 18 Tiny will feature $5 monster head tees in baby, kid and adult sizes.

There will be free stickers and buttons and a live screen printing demonstration, according to a press release.
