Restaurant Next to Drury Once Decided, But Now Contended

Alderman Tom Kramer said negotiations for the restaurant have reopened.

It's known that an 8,000 square foot restaurant will sit next to the under construction Drury Inn and Suites hotel in Brentwood, but it's still not determined what it will be.

Brentwood Ward 4 Alderman Tom Kramer said new restaurant was originally announced as the Bonefish Grill, an upscale eatery owned by OSI/Bloomin' Brands, operators of Outback Steakhouse, Fleming's Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill and Roy's Restaurant.

But now a second restaurant is in the running.

"Since that announcement by Drury, negotiations have reopened for the possibility of a different restaurant. Those negotiations have not yet concluded," Kramer said.

"The other possibility is a known, but very popular brand in Missouri. We would be happy to have either one located in Brentwood," he said.

The demolition is complete, and workers are now pouring the foundation for a retaining wall for the 3.97 acre site.
