Studio Forte's Hand-Painted Sign is Gone

The owner of the Maplewood business had no comment.

It was just in August that Maplewood dance studio, Studio Forte, owner Lindi McDonald to hand paint a new sign on her front window.

On Thursday, the sign was scraped off the window.

The sign was cleared with the city of before being painted.

McDonald had no comment.

She is staying in the building with her business.

I liked the sign and the fact that it was done by a local artist. Does anybody know why it was removed?

The landlord forced her.

That is really a shame. That seems like what Maplewood is all about...using local talent and appreciating a hand craft that Lonnie Tettaton had perfected as his career. It makes me sad. I wish the article could have gone into more detail as to why the landlord did not approve.

Lotus108 - Sorry about the lack of info on Studio Forte's sign. All I can say is, we're all hoping for a resolution and a great new sign.
