St. Louis Food Trucks Named to Best in U.S. List

Seoul Taco, which just opened a storefront in the Delmar Loop, Cha Cha Chow and Guerrilla Street Food were all honored.

The Daily Meal just released its 101 best food trucks in America 2012 list. Three St. Louis area mainstays have made the cut.

Seoul Taco, Cha Cha Chow and Guerrilla Street Food were on the list. Here's where they landed on the list:

  • Guerrilla Street Food, 31;
  • Cha Cha Chow, 83; and
  • Seoul Taco, 96.

The number one truck in America, according to the list, is Kogi BBQ in Los Angeles.

In October, the Huffington Post reported that food truck dining is not just the latest fad but is a trend that will be sticking around.

Seoul Taco recently opened a brick and mortar store in the Delmar Loop. Guerrilla Street Food was just featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. To see video of the show, click here.

Maplewood recently OK'd a 6-month trial period for food trucks. Speedway Eater was the first to license and operate, selling out on its first day. Taste-D-Burger got its license on Wednesday, and is scheduled to be at 15 Sunnen Drive on Nov. 28.

Food trucks will be at the Tilles Park Winter Wonderwalk this weekend.

A recent food truck event in St. Charles' Frontier Park drew huge crowds.
